Our Story

Heart of Maine Homestead grew from a dream of building a life that felt slower, simpler, and more connected to the things that matter most. We don’t believe you need hundreds of acres or a perfect farm to live the homestead lifestyle. We believe it starts with a simple decision: to live with intention, learn new skills, and appreciate the blessings around you.

From handcrafted products and homegrown food to the lessons we learn along the way, our hope is to inspire others to embrace a simpler, more intentional way of living and to remind them that you don’t have to do everything at once to build a homestead you love. How It All Began

We didn’t set out to build a business; we set out to build a different kind of life. We wanted the freedom to raise our family differently than we were raised. We longed for a slower pace, a stronger connection to the land, and the opportunity to teach our children the value of hard work, self-reliance, and the simple joys that often get lost in today’s busy world.

That dream led us from New Jersey to the beautiful state of Maine, where Heart of Maine Homestead first began to take root. What started as a leap of faith has grown into a life we’re grateful to build every single day.

Life on the Homestead Today

Today, Heart of Maine Homestead is a place where every season brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and create. From tending our gardens and caring for our animals to crafting natural products in small batches, each day looks a little different.

Some days are filled with little victories. Other days humble us, test our patience, and remind us that nature doesn’t always follow our plans. Through it all, we’re constantly learning, adapting, and finding joy in the process.

We believe that a homestead is never truly finished.
